Summary

Establishment is an organisation's core information requirements. It specifies the basic requirements in terms of positions, reporting relationships, and the allocation of people to roles.

The organisation can then determine:

  • How many positions are required at particular places of work
  • How many people are required to fill those positions.

This configuration enables the organisation to monitor resource requirements against employee allocations (appointments) and construct an organisational chart.
