Key Position Lists

Human Resources | Workforce Planning | Key Position Lists

Summary

Key Position Lists are lists of Positions that you have defined as being important positions in your organisation. They help you plan for succession or retirement.

After creating Feeder Positions to Key Positions, PayGlobal can automatically create a succession list of possible candidates when a Key Position becomes vacant. For automatic population of candidates to work, Position Codes must be attached to employees in Payroll.

Using Key Position Lists

There are two ways to use this tab page:

  1. Create one Key Position List entity. Create records within the Details tab for each Key Position. For example, the Key Position List would contain the Positions of 'Operations Manager', 'Sales Manager' and 'Development Manager'.
  2. Create a series of Key Position Lists. In this case, separate Key Position Lists would be created for the 'Operations Manager', 'Sales Manager' and 'Development Manager'.
