Organisation | Costings | Cost Centres

Summary

Cost centres allow you to group allowance costs. You can set up cost centres according to your organisational requirements. For example, your organisation could have cost centres based on location only or on location and department.

Location:

  • Auckland
  • Brisbane
  • Wellington

Location and department:

  • Auckland - Restaurant
  • Auckland - Kitchen
  • Auckland - Bar
  • Brisbane - Restaurant
  • Brisbane - Kitchen
  • Brisbane - Bar

Note: You can also divide cost centres into jobs.

Cost centre reports

You can run cost centre reports for specific accumulators, allowances and deductions. You can also use filters and queries, and sort the report as required.

Proportional costing

Proportional costing allows you to split the cost of an employee's allowance transactions between cost centres. When you process the pay, PayGlobal applies the proportional costing split to allowance transactions for that employee. PayGlobal validates cost centres during pay processing by checking the records in the Current Proportional Costing table for the pay sequence being processed. If any cost centres have expired, then details are displayed in the audit log.
