Shift Timebands - Advanced

The Advanced tab is only used in the event that you need to specify a particular Anchor Group or Break code for that shift.

 

Example

In residential nursing, a company may have a rotational Roster that involves:

4 afternoons

4 nights

4 afternoons

4 mornings

4 afternoons

4 mornings

4 days off

4 days off

4 days off

The employee would generally be set up to take a 30 minute break after five hours.

A common situation is that private nursing institutions state that, due to staffing numbers, the night shift does not have an unpaid break.

In this situation it recommended to create three Shift codes (using generic names):

The fields on this tab page are as follows:

Field

Description

Anchor Group

Select the required anchor group.

Break

Select the required break code.

Break Amount

Specify the duration of the break. For example, 00:30.
