Each Availability Group is made up of a cycle of days that employees are available to work. This prevents you from assigning shifts to employees that are unable to work those hours.
Procedure
To associate the Availability Cycle that an Availability Group uses, click Add or Edit to access the Availability Groups - Cycles form.
From here you can specify the start day within a cycle that an Availability Group takes effect.
The fields on the Availability Group Cycles - Details tab are as follows:
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
Effective start date |
The date the Availability Group Cycle takes effect. |
Availability Cycle |
The Availability Cycle that is attached to an Availability Group. |
Start day |
Each day in an Availability Cycle has a Day number attached to it. An Availability Group does not need to start on the first day in a cycle. The number here refers to the Day number within the cycle that the Availability Group will take effect from. For example, '4' could represent the fourth day in a seven day cycle. |
