Adding a Roster Tour

Follow this procedure to add a new Tour.

  1. Navigate to Rostering | Tours.

To add a new Tour code, press the Insert key or right-click in the Grid area and select Add Record.

  2. Add a new Tour Code, Description and Duration as shown below. The value of 14 in the Duration field indicates that the Tour repeats every 14 days.

  3. Click Save.
  4. Add the shift to your new Tour. To do this select the Shifts tab, and click Edit.

Note: A row has been added to the Grid for each day of your tour.

  5. To add a shift to a Tour day, double-click on the first day number. The Edit Tour Shifts form is displayed.

  6. Click on the Shift field pick list to select the correct shift for this day of your tour.

For days that do not have an employee rostered to work, either leave the days blank or create and use an RDO shift code to identify when the tour cycle reflects a 'Rostered Day Off'. For this exercise leave the unworked days blank.

Note: If you have several days in your Roster with the same shift use modelling to speed up the adding of shifts to roster days.

  7. Select shift ADM01 for days 1 to 5 and shift ADM02 for days 8 to 12.

After adding and saving the shifts for each of your Roster tour days, the Edit Tours window should look like this.

  8. Click Save + Close.
