Human Resources | Performance Management | Performance Planning | Measures

Summary

Performance measures use Key Result Areas (KRAs) to measure the requirements for success. Sometimes an employee's performance differs from what was expected. Differences are explained in the Reason for Variance tab page in a Performance Plan, allowing you to develop strategies for corrective behaviour or maintenance of desired traits.

Use the Measures entity to build up a structure a system by which you can measure the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within a Performance Plan.

Example

For example:

Key Result Area

To increase productivity

Key Performance Indicators

Reduce the absenteeism of factory staff

Measures

Possible measures could be:

  • Number of absentee days in the factory, for example, less than 100 absentee days
  • Percentage decreases in sick days, for example, sick days reduced by 15%
  • Total productive hours in the factory, for example, 15,000 productive factory hours

Using Measures

A Performance Plan displays the attached Measures in the Performance Measure tab page.
