Summary

Nominations allow you to schedule an employee to attend a course. You can create course nominations from several areas of PayGlobal, such as a training plan. Training plans are employee-specific so any nominations that you create from a training plan are for that employee only.

Nomination Codes

When you create a nomination from an induction event or a training plan, the code is created automatically with the following structure:

  • Origin indicator (I = Induction, P = Performance Plan via Training Plan, T = Course Types, H = HRSS)
  • Employee's code (such as 1234)
  • Course Types code (such as 9876)

For example, a nomination created from a training plan could have the following code: P12349876. However, a nomination created for the same course from an induction event for the same employee would have the following code: I12349876.

Nomination codes cannot contain more than 11 characters. If the sum of the code parts is too long, then PayGlobal truncates the resultant code to 11 characters. For example, if the Employees code was 11223344, and Course Types code was 9988, then a nomination created from the employee's training plan would have the following code: P1122334499. If the database already contains a Nominations record with this code, then PayGlobal creates a code based on the origin indicator and a random number.
