Human Resources | Performance Management | Performance Appraisals | Business Objectives
Summary |
Business Objectives are the business goals that an organisation has identified that it wants to achieve in its operation. These goals can be associated with employees to measure the effectiveness of their performance in contributing to the goals linked to their position. |
Example |
For example, a Business Objective may be to ‘Achieve sales and profit budgets’. This objective could then be associated with an Appraisal Type. The Employee Appraisal for Sales Managers would then use this Appraisal Type when evaluating their performance in achieving this goal. |
Business Objective Categories |
Use the Details tab page to group Business Objectives into Business Objective Categories. For example, all sales-related Business Objectives could be grouped together as the 'Sales' Business Objective Category. |
