Training Plans

Human Resources | Learning & Development | Planning | Training Plans

Summary

You can generate training plans from Performance Plans or you can create them as required without reference to a performance plan.

Training plans allow you to specify development activities for individual employees. However, you could also create a departmental development plan for multiple employees, if required. Usually, a training plan focuses on development activities for a specific employee.

Training plans allow you to record the learning requirements of an individual over a specified period of time. Information in an employee's training plan is displayed on their Employee Training Plans tab.

Creating Training Plans

After you set up the prerequisite entity records (see Planning), use the following process to create Training Plans records.

Enter Details tab values, such as Category and Employee.

    Enter Dates tab values.

    Save Training Plans record.

  2. Create Training Plan Modules records.

Enter Details tab values. You must enter Training Module.

Note: If you create a nomination from an employee's training plan and use the Transfer button to add an employee to a course, then PayGlobal adds the Course code and description to the employee's Training Plan Course Types record. When you close the course, PayGlobal adds the Course and Course end date values to the employee's Training Plan Competencies record.

Copy Competencies from Course Types record to create Training Plan Competencies records.

  5. Check Training Plan Competencies records.
  6. Create Training Plan Qualifications records.

Enter Details tab values, such as Qualification Type and Institution.

  7. Check Training Plan Activities records.

Enter Details tab values. You must add Training Action and Responsibility.

If several training plans share the same details, then use Model Record and Model Field to quickly create the required records.
